Welcome to Sweet Home Christian Center
At Sweet Home Christian Center, located in the heart of Kenner, Louisiana, we are a nondenominational church dedicated to preaching truth and showing love. Our mission is to provide a welcoming environment where individuals and families can grow spiritually and connect with a supportive community.

What We Offer
Sweet Home Christian Center provides various programs and services, including:
Sunday School: Engaging lessons for all ages to explore the teachings of the Bible.
Sunday Morning Services: A time of worship and inspirational messages to start your week.
Bible Classes: In-depth studies to deepen your understanding of Scripture.
Ministries
Men’s Ministry: Opportunities for men to connect, grow, and support one another in their faith journey as well as lifes journey.
Women’s ministry life group: opportunities for women to connect, grow, and support one another in their faith journey as well as life journey.
Childrens ministry: opportunities for children to connect, interact in different areas of the church such as in plays, the kids praise team, and choir as well. there is a kids bible study class every thursday night, along with all of our other bible classes.
Worship: Our worship style blends contemporary music with a small amount of traditional hymns, creating a passionate and reverent atmosphere for all attendees.
What We Believe
Our faith is rooted in the love of God, the grace of Jesus Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit. We exist to glorify God, grow in faith, and serve others with compassion and humility. Here is a summary of our core beliefs:
1. God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the Creator of all things, perfect in love, holy in nature, and sovereign over all.
2. Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully divine and fully human. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead on the third day, and ascended to heaven. Through Him, we are offered forgiveness, reconciliation, and eternal life.
3. The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit lives within all believers, guiding, empowering, and transforming us into the likeness of Christ. The Spirit equips us for service, convicts us of sin, and assures us of our salvation.
4. The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God—truthful, trustworthy, and authoritative for all aspects of life and faith. It reveals God’s character, His plan of redemption, and how we are called to live.
5. Salvation
We believe salvation is a gift from God, received through faith in Jesus Christ. It is not earned by works but given by grace. Through repentance and faith, we are made new and brought into relationship with God.
6. The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ on earth, called to worship, grow in discipleship, and extend God’s love to the world. We gather in community for encouragement, teaching, prayer, and service.
7. Baptism and Communion
We practice baptism as a public declaration of faith and new life in Christ. We regularly celebrate communion in remembrance of Jesus’ sacrifice and in anticipation of His return.
8. Mission and Service
We believe we are called to share the good news of Jesus and to serve others with humility and generosity—locally and globally—as a reflection of God’s love and justice.
9. The Return of Christ
We believe Jesus Christ will return to restore all things and establish His eternal Kingdom. Until that day, we live with hope, purpose, and faithfulness.
